Axilla

A pyramid-shaped area at the junction of the arm and thorax, inferior to the shoulder joint, that is bounded by four walls, an apex (the axillary inlet), and a base. The axillary artery, axillary vein, brachial plexus, and lymphatic vessels pass through here between the trunk and the upper limb. Also contains the axillary lymph node groups, fat, and connective tissue.
