Abbreviation: LAFB
A conduction abnormality within the His-Purkinje system that manifests with marked left axis deviation on ECG. Isolated LAFB can occur as a benign consequence of aging or can be caused by coronary artery disease, valvular disease, hypertension, or cardiomyopathies.
