A clinical evaluation tool used for risk stratification in adults with sepsis or infection. High in-hospital mortality or prolonged ICU stay is predicted if ≥ 2 of the following are present: altered mental status, tachypnea (≥ 22 breaths/min), and/or systolic hypotension (≤ 100 mm Hg).
