AMBOSS Survey
In November 2024, we asked residents across all levels, from PGY1 to PGY4, for insights into their clinical experiences and learning habits. The 1,500 responses highlight how physicians-in-training use AMBOSS to sharpen their skills, accelerate learning, and make confident decisions in patient care.
On average, when using AMBOSS, residents find information in 90 seconds. In contrast, they spend 82% more time searching for information when using other resources.
“Easily the single best software for medical decision making in a busy emergency department”
UF Health, Dr. Nishant Gogna, Emergency Medicine, PGY2
Core, evidence-based content accelerates decision-making, saving on average 23 minutes per shift. This time reduction offsets the cost of a one-year license in less than two months and frees up time for direct patient care.
“A streamlined way to learn and optimize treatment for patient care!”
Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Sandy Samaan, Family Medicine, PGY2
Precise recommendations help residents make informed decisions independently, reducing senior inquiries. When guidance is needed, AMBOSS helps streamline and shorten discussions.
“AMBOSS has been my go-to resource due to its simplicity, organization, and incredible breadth of information. Whether I'm on the wards, preparing for boards, or teaching I genuinely prefer it over others.”
George Washington University, Dr. Jeffery Turley, Internal Medicine Chief Resident
Residents validate their diagnostic approaches and treatment plans, refining them when necessary to make informed and accurate clinical decisions.
“AMBOSS has surpassed all other medical resources for its relevance, accuracy, and convenience.”
Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Dr. Nicholas Abdallah, Family Medicine, PGY2
Compared to other resources, residents report faster study processes and more effective learning for both exam preparation and general studies.
“Amboss helped me so much during Step 3 to study and also confirm/redirect my thought process when answering questions. It has images and charts that are easy to remember and learn from."
Nemours Children's Hospital, Dr. Adaobi Okocha, Pediatrics, PGY3
